HITCHCOCK, John Wesley (b c. 1847): I am looking for information about the John Wesley Hitchcock who was born c. 1847 in Ireland and immigrated to Brockville, Leeds Co., c. 1850 with his parents, Thomas (b c. 1800) and Ann Hitchcock. This John Wesley Hitchcock and his wife, Euphemia "Effie" Louise (Fulford) Hitchcock (b 6 Nov 1846, Belleville, m 6 Nov 1872, Brockville, d 3 Mar 1937, Brockville), had two daughters : my grm Annie Martha (Hitchcock) Maier (b 11 Jan 1876, Brockville, d 11 Feb 1958, Quantico, VA) and Caroline "Carrie" Louise Hitchcock (b 1 Nov 1878, Brockville, d 27 Mar 1969, Brockville). The person I am researching is different than the John Wesley Hitchcock (d 1955) who married Pheoeba A. How, and is buried in the Maple Vale Cemetery in South Elmsley, Leeds Co., with his wife and their two sons: Kenneth J. and Cecil H. Hitchcock. The latter JWH is a son of Andrew Hitchcock (a son of Ithamar Hitchcock), who married Martha Warren in 1852. The former JWH, who is the subject of my research , may have moved to another province or the U.S. after c. 1884. Any help would be welcome.

LAMB. My 2d great grandfather, Isaac LAMB, was born in Elizabethtown, Uppper Canada on April 16, 1808. I believe he was descended from the Loyalist Isaac LAMB who settled in Upper Canada after the American Revolution. His wife was Julia FROST of New York. His son, Hiram Colby LAMB, my great grandfather, was born in Hillsdale, Michigan in 1840. The family eventually went to Texas in the mid-1850s. If anyone has any information on Isaac LAMB and this LAMB family I would appreciate your telling me about it. I can reciprocate with the descendency of Isaac.
