CRIPPEN and SPENCER in Bastard, Leeds County. My ggg-grandparents were Diadama CRIPPEN and Abraham SPENCER. I know that Diadama went to Leeds with her parents as a child or teenager. I don't know the year. I think her parents were Darias and Abagail (STEVENS) CRIPPEN. I need a marriage record for Diadama and Abraham SPENCER. It had never occured to me to look for Abraham in Canada until recently when someone suggested that some of the SPENCERS went to Canada with the STEVENS AND CRIPPENS. Can anyone help me with these families? Frances S. Powell fsp@hiwaay.net

If anyone has access to the Brockville Recorder and Times Obituaries publications and could do a look-up for me, I would be most appreciative. I am looking for details in a possible obituary for Fanny Georgina Atkinson (née Carrington) who died 20 Sep 1919 in Montreal but was buried in Brockville and her husband, Joseph Atkinson, who died 2 Jan 1928 in Montreal but was also buried in Brockville. If anyone is able to locate an obit on either of these people please e-mail me at broadhun@cadvision.com Thanks in advance for your help.

John THOMPSON married Margaret HENNESSEE. Their daughter, Annie Sophia was born in abt. 1868. (All born in Canada) Annie married Edmund McAllister on July 30, 1882 in Chicago, Ill. I believe the Thompson's were living in Newboro, Ontario in 1917 as I have pictures from the McAllisters photo album with Newboro, Ont., 1917 written on them. Family lore says that they always lived in Ontario. Any information on the above people appreciated. I will gladly share what I have on the McAllisters. I am seeking any information concerning any possible children from the marriage of Nathaniel KETCHUM b. 1785 to Mary Delong b.abt. 1780. They are mentioned in a book, "The Hub Of The Rideau", and are said to be methodist, and moved to S. Crosby Twp, Leeds Co. I am looking for siblings and parents for my gr gr gr grandfather, Nathaniel KETCHUM b. 03-03-1830 in Lisbon Ontario, and it is possible that this couple could be older parents--or not so old grandparents. Nathaniel's father was to have been born in Vermont. This Nathaniel (b. 1785), was said to be born in N. Adams Twp. Mass, right at the Vt. border, in 1782 by one source. Another source said, Conn. as his birth place.) My Nathaniel's mother was suppose to be born in Mass. My family homepage is found at: http://www.familytreemaker.com/users/b/a/r/Kathy-L-Barnes-/index.html I'd appreciate any info sent my way, as I'm continuing a work started by my mother over 25 years ago. Thanks!
