Programmes

  • Humane Education
Animals and our relationship with them are at the heart of Humane Education. By teaching children about behaviour, needs and care of animals, our programme provides gentle yet powerful lessons in compassion, responsibility and respect for others. Each year our Humane Educator visits classrooms and daycares throughout the community. Our Education/Adoption Booths in local shopping malls provide us with the opportunity to educate the community about our many programmes and to offer our cats a further opportunity for adoption.
  • Pet Visitations
    Monthly visits to retirement homes
  • Foster Care
Young or frail, sick animals benefit from our Foster Care programme. Volunteers provide care in their home until the animals are able to return to the Shelter for adoption
  • Spay Assistance
A programme for those who have a bonafide need for assistance with the cost of spaying their pet.
