Funeral at Iroquois.- The funeral service of Andrew Moore, who died on
Monday in the General hospital at Cornwall of typhoid fever, was held
Wednesday afternoon at the undertaking parlors of W.E. Fitzsimmons at
Iroquois. The service was conducted by Rev. William Merrilees, pastor of
Knox Presbyterian . Deceased was born in England and had spent the first 12
years of his life in the Barnardo Home there. Coming to Canada he was later
in the employ of Henry Boyd, cheesemaker in the township of Matilda and
later on a farm in the same vicinity. For the past several months he had
resided with a family at Point Iroquois. Burial was made in the
Presbyterian cemetery at Point Iroquois with the following acting as
pallbearers: E.Pitt, T.Anderson, B. McCormick and A. Rosie, all from
Matilda township.
