MADDOCK-L is a 'no-cost' email based forum for subscribers to discuss aspects of the
history, geography and genealogy
of a large and extensive surname group which includes such spellings as
MADDIC, MADDICK, MADDICKS, MADIX, MADDIX, MADDOX, MADDUX,
MADOC, MADDOCK, MADDOCKS,
MATOC, MATTOC, MATTOCK, MATTOCKS, etc.
and ""ALL"" of the many other derivative spelling variations
that have been recorded in documents over time and space.

You can set DIGEST mode by sending:
- SET MADDOCK-L DIGEST to listserv@post.queensu.ca
To go back to regular mail mode, send:
- SET MADDOCK-L NODIGEST to listserv@post.queensu.ca
To temporarily suspend mail to your address, perhaps while on vacation, send:
- SET MADDOCK-L NOMAIL to listserv@post.queensu.ca
To reactivate receiving mail,send:
- SET MADDOCK-L MAIL to listserv@post.queensu.ca
To CONCEAL your name and address, when someone requests an address list, send:
- SET MADDOCK-L CONCEAL to listserv@post.queensu.ca
This List is set by default to send you an ACKNOWLEDGEMENT of any message you post to the List - if you don't receive an acknowledgement within an hour of sending your posting, you've probably sent it to the wrong address - see POSTING. To set this switch so that you DO NOT receive an acknowledgement, send:
