Many Green Thumbs make Light Work, Great Gardens and a Vibrant
Organization!
The Kingston Horticultural Society is a group of friendly green thumbs.
The scope of our activities is limited only by the number of willing
volunteers to staff both regular committee spaces and one time events.
Consider volunteering your time for any of the following Spring and
Summer Season activities. Contact kingstonhortsoc@gmail.com,
or the individuals below:
- Helpers are needed for the May Plant Sale. Please sign up at the
April or May meetings, or contact Jean Barna: 613-389-1714.
- Helpers are needed at the June Flower Show. Specific tasks include
setting up the Show, manning the desk for a hour or two, and helping
with clean-up after the show. Contact Adrian Cooper: 613-540-3384.
- Community Gardening: we have tireless volunteers who work at
planting and tending gardens in a variety of locations, including the
Paterson Memorial Rock Garden in Roden Park, Pollinator Garden
at the Memorial Centre, Lemoine Point and others. Whether you have a
lot of time or just a little, Adrian Cooper will find a place for you.
Contact her at 613-540-3384.
- Contributing to Columbine. Do you have a short garden story, a
gardening advice column, or maybe a horticultural book review? Please
submit it to hpollittsmith@gmail.com
