The Society runs two major competitive shows a year: the Rose & Flower Show late in June and the Fall Flower & Vegetable Show towards the end of August. It also has a Spring Bulb Show and an Iris and Peony Show in conjunction with the May and June meetings respectively, and mini "Show Corners", with three or four classes each, at various other meetings during the year.
The horticultural classes at the two major shows change very little from year to year. In the interests of saving paper and postage costs, therefore, the schedules of the horticultural classes are posted here on these webpages, and are (or soon will be) available in hardcopy. The full schedule, however, will no longer be printed annually in Columbine. Printed copies should be retained for several years, until a periodic review takes place.
The floral design/decoration classes do, of course, change year by year. Those for the current year, and any changes found necessary for the horticultural classes, WILL continue to appear in Columbine as well as being posted here. Exhibitors are advised to consult it.
The schedules for the Spring Bulb Show and for the Iris and Peony Show will continue to appear in Columbine. The latter, however, is a copy of Sections 2 and 3 of the June Show
The Show Corner schedules will continue to appear in Columbine. The full schedule for (the rest of) the year will soon be displayed here, and when appropriate, the next month's will be placed on the home page.
